Weekend Plans in NYC: November 29–December 1, 2019

Everything is supergreat this weekend; just ask the muggles on Stone Street.
Eating + Drinking
While we're beyond the days of making moonshine in our bathtub, you never know when you're going to need to whip up some rosé in the comfort of your own apartment. Enlightenment Wines's Raphael Lyon leads this hands-on, alcohol-fueled workshop. Sunday, December 1; 3–5 p.m.; 93 Scott Avenue, Williamsburg
Theater
In Stephen Brown’s new play, Everything Is Super Great, young Tommy avoids the fact of his older brother’s disappearance by hanging out at Starbucks drinking lattes and pining for the manager. An art therapist clumsily helps the kid face up to grief and reality. Through Saturday, December 14; 59E59 Theaters, 59 East 59th Street (between Park and Madison Avenues), Upper East Side

Nightlife
We've raved about this Harry Potter–themed cocktail-making class before, and now we have a reason to return thanks to the Cauldron's newest experience: Potion Making 2.0. Check out its fresh forest look and brew molecular drinks among mystical creatures. Through Sunday, March 1, 2020; 47 Stone Street (off Coenties Alley on the 2nd floor of Bavaria Bierhaus), Financial District

Art
The Bronx Museum celebrates the work of photographer Alvin Baltrop, who used his artistic talent to capture New York City—particularly Manhattan's West Side piers—during a time of financial crisis, crime, and the fight for LGTBQ+ rights. More than 200 photographs from the artist's private and personal collections are on view, as well as his archive (available to the public for the first time). Through Sunday, February 9, 2020; 1040 Grand Concourse, Bronx
Family Fun
Sure, the Thanksgiving Day parade is cool, but we found something even more dazzling at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden. The Winter Lantern Festival is back with a new display of more than 1,000 colorful art pieces and accompanying cultural performances. Through Sunday, January 12, 2020; 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island
